Some of my buddies found summer employment which no doubt encouraged them to go on in their education and find different employment. That was a great spot to visit as a kid. The ladies would be lined up along a conveyor belt peeling and slicing apples and were generous with the slices to Doug Marshall and I. The trucks that turned the corner loaded as high as they could get them with pea vines traveled very slowly past the Marshall house on the corner and often yielded a a harvest for us.
