Falcourt Inn

I borrowed this fine picture from the Falcourt Inn web site; hope they don't mind. http://www.falcourtinn.ns.ca/ We have enjoyed staying there on several occasions and we've also had special meals there as well. I imagine it's booked for the Reunion in July. (Many of us remember it as the Max Napthall (?) place. )

Baseball Reunion

The boys of Summer. The remnants of the 1947-48 Middleton Cardinals (pictures posted earlier in the blog) gathered for a practice about fifty years after their playing days. No serious running or sliding or such shinanigans. Will post the picture today in memory of Roy Dowell, (front left beside me) who passed away recently. (May work out the full slate of names at a later time.)

MRHS Basketball

MRHS basketball 1950-51. Front, Dick Phinney Dave Swim, Al Peppard (coach), Eric Wright, Cal Annis; Back: Neil Fisher, Ron Parker, Bev Bruce, Dick Morse, Hanson "Sonny" Dowell, and Clifford Neily. Those were the days. Today, teams score in the first quarter what we might be lucky to get in a full game. We were new to the game, we learned a lot, and it was a lot of fun. Thanks, Al.
